Everyone knew God had gifted Thom with a talent for drawing and organizing. It was no surprise then when he pursued a career in architecture starting as an intern in 1984 at The Hillier Group of Princeton, NJ; one of the largest and most diverse architectural firms in the U.S. Working with so many experienced and talented people there provided him a great education on how to build buildings in the real world. He progressed to Project Team Coordinator in charge of organizing, developing and detailing construction documents. But after nine years he felt the need to spread his wings creatively. He left the firm, started his own company, The Idea Factory, and for four years drew cartoons for corporate publications, designed graphic presentations, and created corporate identity packages. After Thom accepted Christ as his Savior in 1990 changes began happening both personally and professionally. Thom joined the firm of John W. Whitehead and Associates (now, WPH Architects for Ministry) a firm specializing in designing evangelical churches, in 1996 as a consultant. He became an employee in 1998 the same year he married Debbie, whom he cherishes. They have 2 wonderful children. The family attends Bethel - The Church at Franklin Mills (www.fmchurch.net). There they serve as part of the information team and are part of a home group. His life verse is Romans: 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose." Now he uses his 20+ years of experience to help churches achieve their visions and he relishes being a part of helping to spread God's kingdom on earth. Thom is committed to giving each client a building that not only meets their needs but also allows them to be good stewards of God's money. He believes by doing the basic things very efficiently he will have the opportunity to push the envelope and think outside the box in other areas. Thom has a heart for unsaved people, for persecuted believers and for suffering children around the globe. His family fills shoeboxes Samaritan Purse's Operation Christmas Child gift giving operation each year and he was a relay center coordinator at Bethel in November. He also supports the Voice of the Martyrs and Compassion International organizations. Ultimately Thom would like to create a foundation using his creative abilities to raise funds for these and other Christian organizations.
